The problem
Resellers working a thrift store live or die on a fast, correct call: is this $4 item worth flipping? The honest answer lives in eBay’s sold listings — but pulling comps on your phone mid-aisle is slow, and every second of hesitation is another second for someone else to grab the good stuff.
What we built
Flipvs. Point your phone at a thrift-store item — scan a barcode, snap a photo, or just type what it is — and it checks eBay-sold comps and returns a buy / skip verdict in under five seconds. A free lookup to try it, a paid tier for the regulars who run it all day.
How we shipped it
A Laravel + Inertia/React front end with Tailwind, deployed on AWS — a deliberately single-screen tool with no clutter between the reseller and the one answer they need, tuned to be fast on a phone with one hand full.
Outcome
Flipvs is live — another of Flipvo’s own products — giving resellers an instant, data-backed gut-check on the floor instead of a guess, and keeping the tool (and the margins) in-house.
